USA holidays offer the widest of experiences as there are fifty states from which to choose, and each have there own qualities. East or west, north or south; city breaks and shopping trips; theme park extravaganzas or wilderness treks through national parks; ski holidays or beach holidays; winter travel or summer travel; the choice is seemingly endless. With mountains and arid deserts, rolling hills, grasslands and great plains, mighty rivers and the Great Lakes, cosmopolitan cities and seaside resorts, the diversity of experiences can be overwhelming. The USA really does have something for everyone. Whatever your age and level of fitness, and whatever your interests, there will certainly be a USA holiday or city break that fits the bill. Florida is, beyond doubt, the most popular destination for Britains. The sunshine state enjoys pleasantly warm winters and hot, humid summers. Orlando is the theme park capital of the world with Disney, Universal, Sea World and water parks all providing fun and thrills for the family. Florida is also home to Kennedy Space Centre with an interesting and inspiring visitor centre. Miami, in the south has fabulous beaches as does the Gulf coast. For a light-hearted city break, visit las Vegas, a city of excess that claims to be the entertainment capital of the world. It is famous for gambling in its huge themed casinos, its concerts, its shopping, golfing and world sporting events. New York is a popular city choice. After a seven hour flight, you are among the skyscapers of the Big Apple and can begin exploring its many attractions. Great for shopping, pre-Christmas trips are popular. See a show on Broadway; stroll through Central Park or the botanical gardens; take a boat trip the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island; take the lifts to the top of the Empire State Building for superb views across the city. The list goes on and on. The Californian west coast is also very appealing, as is the Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park. Helicopter rides over the canyon are nothing less than spectacular. The USA has many famous ski resorts where the quality of snow is unparalleled, and facilities are world class. Aspen, Breckenridge and Jackson hole are three of the most popular. 

USA accommodation is generally first class and with rooms to accommodate families, tariffs are comparatively cheap. Although you'll always receive a warm and friendly service, you must remember that tipping is not just expected, it is almost obligatory. Many workers in the service industry are denied the minimum wage and staff depend on tips. Tips are usually the state tax percentage plus an additional five percent. Eating out in the US is also comparatively cheap. Menus differ little from the UK so familiar food is always available. Portions are large so don't over order. In certain restaurants, it is possible to satisfy your hunger with only a first course dish. There are evening venues providing nightlife for all tastes and moods. Shopping in the US appears to be almost a hobby and you'll find an enormous number of shopping malls and designer outlets. You'll find prices are, for the most part, cheaper than at home and you should be able to find bargains. Just remember, you have a weight restriction on your flight home. Excess baggage charges can be costly and suddenly your goods will appear to be less of a bargain.
