The beautiful Georgian style manor was built in 1841 and comprises 5 hectares of landscaped gardens and countryside. The quiet and relaxing accommodation will enchant guests as they sweep through its ornate entrance gates, pass the attractive gatehouse, and journey up the winding drive surrounded by landscaped gardens to the Georgian-style entrance. Wireless Internet is available in public areas and is free of charge. Complimentary parking is also available on site. The property comprises 34 guest rooms, a lobby with lift access, a restaurant, a bar and conference facilities. Room service is provided. Location The country house is set in the heart of Lancashire's Ribble Valley, surrounded by rolling, verdant hills dominated by Pendle Hill, which is famous for its 16th century witch trials. It is a short distance from the historical town of Clitheroe (5 km) with Clitheroe Castle. It is also well placed for visiting Manchester, Harrogate, Leeds, Blackpool, Morecambe and the Lake District. Nearby airports include Blackpool International Airport, situated at roughly 60 km; Leeds Bradford International Airport, at around 74 km; Manchester Airport, at some 98 km; and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, at about 114 km. East Midlands Airport and Newcastle Airport are both approximately 220 km from the residence. Rooms There are individually appointed bedrooms, many affording views out over the gardens and countryside. All bedrooms are en suite and equipped with a hospitality tray, remote control TV, hairdryer and direct dial telephone with PC modem connection. A shower/bath, tea and coffee making facilities and central heating also feature as standard. Sport Guests can play bowls on the first class bowling green. Pitch and putt, minigolf and pool/snooker are available onsite, as is a tennis court. Guests may also take advantage of the exclusive stretch of the River Ribble for salmon and trout fishing. Meals The menu at Jonathan's, the restaurant at Eaves Hall, offers traditional British dishes with a modern twist. The influence of locally sourced ingredients in dishes is much in evidence. Some of the speciality dishes feature the best of Lancashire cheeses and meats. Dress in the restaurant is smart-casual and the ambience is relaxing and convivial. Payment American Express, MasterCard, VISA and some debit cards are accepted as methods of payment. Notes .
