The Hotel Fortina Spa Resort is the 5-star area of the Hotel Fortina. It has a separate reception and enjoys a series of privileges not available to guests staying in the sister hotel. It is set in tropical gardens overlooking the Sliema waterfront. It is centrally located close to shops, bars and the harbour front, and about 300 meters from the shopping centre. The resort offers a wide range of Spa and Wellness facilities including the Therapeutic Spa Bedrooms and Wellness Rejuvenation Rooms. Among other exceptional services are the hotel's six restaurants that, within the Dine Around the World concept, offer a different cuisine from around the world. The Spa at the resort provides a variety of treatments such as beauty treatments, specialised treatments, a Physiotherapy Clinic, Chinese medicine and more. Among the other hotel's facilities are indoor and outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, medical and dental clinic and local trips and cruises. There is a parking available for a surcharge at the Tigne Point Shopping Complex with special rates for the hotel guests who will show their Hotel Residents Card. Official star rating: 5 * Location The Fortina Spa Resort is located on the harbour front in the heart of the city Sliema, and boasts the views of the iconic dome in Valetta. The ferry boat operating to Valetta departs 200 meters away from the hotel. The promenade along the sea takes you into the Sliema town centre, with plenty of shop, pubs and restaurants. The nightlife and beachfront promenade of St Julian's Bay are only 2 miles away. Accomodation The resort features an array of rooms with views over the garden or the sea. There are special Wellness and Spa rooms. Selected ones have private pools. All rooms are stylish, luxurious and very comfortable, they come equipped with two or three beds. In-room standard facilities include individual climate control, TV, minibar, telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, safety deposit box. Spa and Wellness rooms have additionally proper spa and wellness or fitness amenities available in the room. Most of the rooms have balcony/terrace. Eating and Drinking There are several restaurant facilities available to the guests of The Hotel Fortina Spa Resort. Six restaurants are part of the hotel's Dine around the World concept, which means that in each one guests can enjoy different cuisine from different parts of the world: Maltese, Italian, Sushi, Thai, Mediterranean restaurant and more. There are two bars in the property as well – a lounge and a pool swim-up bar. Swimming Pools There are 4 swimming pools, including two right on the waterfront with views of Valletta. One surrounds the beautiful Tropical Garden. There is a Jacuzzi in the garden as well as a swim-up bar serving drinks and snacks. There are three indoor swimming pools – Spa Sante Whirl Pool, Thalasso Indoor Pools which contains three times the amount of salt and minerals than normal seawater, and the large fresh water indoor swimming pool. Outdoor pools are open during summer months (subject to change depending on the weather conditions).
