Set right on the beach and just 10 minutes drive from Rhodes Town and the airport, the Sun Beach Resort Complex providing fantastic entertainment for both adults and kids. The Hotel offers beautiful gardens and is split into two building, one directly on the beach and another 30 metres away. For those who want to sit back and relax, the hotel has a large sun terrace that surrounds the three swimming pools, two of which are dedicated to children, with free use of sun loungers and parasols. Location The hotel is situated in the popular traditional and authentic Greek seaside resort of Lalyssos, and has direct access to the beach. There are a variety of shops, tavernas and restaurants in the area for you to visit. Five miles from the centre of Rhodes Town, which is easy to get to, as the local bus stops right outside the hotel, a taxi rank is situated a short walk away and the Sun Beach Resort has it's own car hire offering discounted rates for guests. The hotel is in a great location for guests who want to discover the cultural aspects that Rhodes has to offer including the Temple of Apollo, the Archeological Museum of Rhodes and the Filerimos Monastery. Accomodation The resort has 105 rooms, 84 studios and 110 apartments. All are stylishly decorated and well furnished with a balcony or terrace with sea or garden views, a private bath/shower combination, safty deposit box payable locally, hair dryer, telephone, Internet access, satellite TV and music channels and air-conditioning from June - September. Studios and apartments also have kitchenettes, with mini fridge, dining table and chairs, cooking rings, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Some amenities are payable locally. Kids suites are available, with additional facilities to keep younger guests happy during their stay. For children aged up to eight years, activity tables, drawing pads and crayons and for children over eight a games console. This applies to apartments only and is payable as an extra supplement. Eating and Drinking There are a good range of dining and drinking options available for guests. The complex offers two restaurants serving international cuisine, a poolside snack bar serving snacks and light meals at lunchtimes, a beach side snack bar and four bars providing a great variety of alcoholic and soft drinks throughout the day. Don't miss the restaurant theme nights laid on for guests during the week, including Mediterranean, Italian and Mexican cuisines. All of the restaurants have menus to cater for children and those on a Gluten free diet. Swimming Pools If you don't fancy the beach there are three swimming pools available to guests, two are for specifically for children, one of which has a mini kids slide with free use of sun loungers and parasols. Pool and beach towels are available for hire and payable locally.
